BREAKING: Daniel Negreanu Reaches Fifth Final Table of 2025 WSOP
Table Of Contents
Daniel Negreanu has had a stellar 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and “Kid Poker” isn’t slowing down. Negreanu just reached his fifth final table of the summer in Event #76: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet.
Negreanu entered the third and final day of the Mixed Big Bet event with 83 big blinds, good to be tied second in chips with Marco Johnson and within reach of chip leader Aaron Kupin. He held onto those chips throughout the first hour of play and now finds himself at the final table again second in chips.
Though he hasn’t yet reached the official six-handed final table, Negreanu is in excellent shape to do so with a big stack ahead of short stacks Bariscan Betil, Ofir Mor and 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen.

Negreanu on Track to Tie Final Table Record?
Negreanu started off his red-hot summer with a runner-up finish in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship for $313,615 and to be denied his eighth bracelet. Not long after, Negreanu finished seventh in the $10,000 2-7 Single Draw Lowball event for $61,231.
Negreanu followed these results up with an eighth-place finish in the $10,000 Limit Championship for $31,316 and most recently a ninth-place finish in the $250,000 Super High Roller for $531,284 at the unofficial final table.
Should he make three more official final tables this summer, Negreanu will tie Phil Hellmuth and Jeremy Ausmus’ record of seven official final tables reached at a single WSOP.
Hellmuth was the first to do so at the 2021 WSOP and Ausmus, who hopes to join Negreanu and Hellmuth in the Poker Hall of Fame, matched the historic feat at the 2024 WSOP.
